The Kenai Peninsula is Alaska's playground. Hiking is a popular activity. While visiting the Kenai, you'll have access to several trails, suitable for all levels. From simple strolls on the beach to challenging climbs in the Kenai National Wildlife refuge, there is a trail for everyone.

Some of the more popular trails:
- Russian Lakes Trail- This popular hike starts as an easy stroll on a well maintained, wheelchair accessible trail. Viewing platforms are located at the Russian River Falls. This is a great place to view salmon jumping the falls as they swim upstream to return to their spawning ground. The trail continues on to the 2 Russian Lakes.
- Ressurection Pass - One of the most popular long hikes on the Kenai. This scenic trail offers mountain views, waterfalls and lakes. Day hikers can make it to Juneau Falls and back in an afternoon. Hikers with 3 - 6 days to spend on the trail, can start at the trailhead near Cooper Landing and hike all the way to the town of Hope. There are several cabins and camping areas along this trail.
- Tsalteshi Trails - In the summer, these local ski trails are open to walking, biking and dogs. A true gem, right in Soldotna.
- Kenai Beach - While it's not a "trail" the beach in Kenai is wonderful for beachcombing. You can often see the volcanoes across Cook Inlet.
